our head offices

always out and about

in Wales and South West England

Our head offices are situated in Ebbw Vale, South Wales. We also have a large fleet of Exenergy vehicles ranging from 7.5 tonne trucks down to the nippy Ford Fiesta vans that our Home Energy Assessors use. So do look out for us throughout Wales and the South West of England.

about exenergy

At Exenergy Limited our passion and enthusiasm show in the way we do things.

We stand out from our competitors because we think energy-saving is a personal thing. Of course we’re all familiar with the news headlines about climate change and the various threats to global supplies of oil and gas, but ultimately many of us bother more about how to pay the next energy bill, and how to keep our families sufficiently warm and comfortable at home when the economic climate is as frosty as it’s been in living memory.

The Coalition Government talks about “big society” and empowering people all over the country to take more control over their energy consumption. Exenergy stands ready to help individuals and businesses to do just that – by installing the most efficient energy-saving measures in the most cost-effective manner.

We show care and consideration, not just for the properties we improve, but also for the people who live or work in them. Whether you’re calling about your home, your business, or your community, we’re confident you’ll like our fresh approach to warmth.

running the company

The Management Team shares a passion for excellence. That’s partly where our name, Exenergy, came from.   It also stands for ‘expert’ and ‘experienced’.  There is no problem which hasn’t been seen and solved many times before in our twenty years of service.

We’ve invested heavily in making sure that we can operate to the same high standards as the “big name” brands, which means – for example – having our own Customer Operations Manager and Health & Safety Manager.

Good management also means that we can run lean and mean, squeezing every bit of efficiency from our assets by cutting out those frustrating mistakes that often plague smaller companies. And, if we do ever make a mistake, we have the processes in place to recover quickly, with minimal disruption to our customers.

what we do best

We have a wealth of knowledge about government funding and energy saving grants, which allows us to guide our Customers towards the most effective energy solutions for their homes or businesses. But the heart of our business is installing energy saving measures. We love nothing more than watching our vans whizz out of the warehouse in the morning and seeing our installers coming back after a long and hard day’s work.

  • loft and cavity wall insulation, saving Customers over £200 per year
  • external or internal wall insulation for harder to treat homes
  • conventional heating systems, using A-rated boilers and modern, efficient and attractive radiators
  • solar photovoltaic systems that generate electricity and enable our Customers to earn tax-free income
  • modern air-source or ground-source heat pumps that offer increasingly attractive financial returns
  • solar thermal systems to heat your hot water, saving between 50-70% of your annual water heating costs

Our Installers are very experienced working around the home, climbing ladders, scrambling in lofts and tackling all-things-heating. Hence, we also offer our Customers a range of home maintenance services or, as we like to call them, domestic extras, including things like boiler servicing, draughtproofing and gutter clearances.

Whatever we do, we do well. Customers tell us that our Installers are courteous, clean, caring, considerate, and a credit to our company. We have so many testimonials that we could carry on through the alphabet: “diligent, efficient, friendly…” but that would be indulgent. And, anyway, we do get a bit stuck for words beginning with x, y and z.

who we work with

Much of our work is generated through direct contact with our Customers but we also work with larger partners such as the household-name Energy Companies and Retailers. Companies like British Gas, npower, Scottish & Southern, Swalec and so on, and with energy-saving schemes sponsored by big brands like M&S and Tesco.

And we work in association with Housing Associations and Local Authorities, right across South Wales and into the neighbouring English Counties. In the past two decades we’ve worked on projects for Registered Social Landlords including Melin Homes, Newport City Homes, Caerphilly County Council and the Vale of Glamorgan. We have proven success with each of these customers that has led to repeat business time and time again.

We have long-standing commercial relationships with the country’s largest suppliers of energy-saving materials, people like Sheffield Insulation (part of the SIG group), Knauf Insulation, all the major boiler manufacturers like Worcester-Bosch and Vaillant, providers of renewable energy components, including Daikin, GB Sol and many, many others.

But, whoever it is we’re working with or working for, we always try to work in partnership. We work openly and honestly, and we always do what we say we’ll do. It’s another way that we believe we’re different.

happy customers

“I would like to express my thanks to you for the exemplary work that has been carried out by your employees. It has been so pleasing to deal with a company whose personnel pride themselves on the job that they do and also who speak well of the company that they represent.”
